Dear Manufacturer,
If Michigan is an important market for your company—or you believe it should be—we’d like you to consider E.H. & Associates, LLC as your manufacturer’s representative agency.
But we’re not asking you to add another name to your rep list.
We’re asking you to consider what you should expect from the people representing your company when you’re not in the room.
At E.H. & Associates, we believe a manufacturer’s representative carries more than a product line.
We carry your reputation.
When we walk into an industrial distributor, meet with its sales team, visit an end user, demonstrate a product, or step onto a Michigan plant floor, we’re representing the manufacturer whose name is on that product.
We take that responsibility seriously.
Michigan Is a Market That Rewards Local Presence
Michigan has a deep and diverse industrial manufacturing base.
Automotive. Metalworking. Machining. Tool and die. Fabrication. Aerospace. Defense. Maintenance and repair. Advanced manufacturing.
These industries create tremendous opportunities for manufacturers of industrial abrasives and complementary industrial products.
But opportunity on a map doesn’t automatically become sales.
Someone has to develop the relationships. Someone has to support distribution. Someone has to train the salespeople. Someone has to identify the applications. Someone has to follow up.
And sometimes, someone simply needs to put on the safety glasses and get onto the plant floor.
We Don’t Want to Simply Carry Your Line
There’s an important difference between having representation and being actively represented.
We want to understand your products. We want to understand where you win. We want to know your competition. We want to understand the applications where your products create measurable value.
Then we want to take that knowledge into the Michigan market.
We don’t just want to carry your line. We want to help build your market.
We Believe Strong Distribution Creates Strong Manufacturers
Industrial distributors are an essential part of our sales strategy.
We don’t view the distributor as simply a place to put products. We view the distributor as a partner.
That means helping their salespeople recognize opportunities, providing product training, making joint end-user calls, conducting demonstrations, supporting competitive conversions, and following opportunities through.
We don’t simply want to sell to distribution. We want to help our distributors sell through to the end user.
Industrial Sales Still Happens on the Plant Floor
Technology has transformed sales. Customers can Google products, compare specifications, watch demonstrations, and use AI to research potential solutions before ever speaking with a salesperson.
That’s a good thing.
But Google can’t walk onto a plant floor. It can’t watch an operator struggle with an application. It can’t see why an abrasive isn’t lasting. It can’t ask the next question based on what it just observed.
Real applications still require real people.
What Should You Expect From E.H.?
You should expect us to represent your company professionally, develop relationships with Michigan industrial distribution, support distributor inside and outside sales teams, make joint end-user calls, look for applications—not simply orders—communicate what’s happening in the territory, follow through on opportunities, and ask for the business.
And when there’s an opportunity on the plant floor, you should expect us to show up.
If Michigan Matters to Your Growth, Let’s Talk
We’re interested in developing relationships with manufacturers whose products complement the industrial markets we already serve.
We’re especially interested in manufacturers who believe, as we do, that successful representation is a partnership—not simply a commission agreement.
If you’re looking at Michigan and asking, “How do we grow our presence there?” we’d welcome the opportunity to have that conversation.
Who do you trust to represent your company when you’re not in the room?
We’d appreciate the opportunity to earn that trust.
